Friday 21st August sees possibly the toughest game of the season for Doncaster Knights famous Cow Pie as he goes head to head with the visiting Haggis of Glasgow Warriors in a battle of the pre match lunches.
Cow Pie, backed up by his long term team mates “Mushy” Peas and Chips, will have home advantage over the visiting Haggis in front of the Knights faithful. Director of Rugby Lynn Howells will be looking for a strong performance from the Castle Park Cow Pie despite the known strength of Haggis.
The two traditional favourites go head to head at £6.50 per meal in the Woodside Suite of the De Mulder Lloyd stand as part of the build up to the game. You can call 01302 831388 or email sales@castle-park.co.uk to book your meal in advance, which gives you waitress service of either (or both) of the two traditional service.
Haggis, who will be travelling down with the Glasgow Warriors is known to rely heavily of the second row pairing of Neeps and Tatties to get the job done. Having travelled to South Yorkshire for the 21st August game he will be looking to put on a good show, but the deciding factor in Cow Pies favour could be Gravy. The hard hitting front row of “Mushy” Peas, Chips and Gravy have been a match for all comers at Doncaster for many a year and has spurred Cow Pie to victory, even managing a win over the Cornish Pasty to the sword for the first time last season.
