SATURDAY 19th December - Christmas Lunch, a match against Moseley and a brass band ... it doesn’t get much better than this. Moseley are our guests as we host our Christmas Lunch, ever growing in popularity, which is set to take over the whole top floor of the clubhouse building. With spaces in short supply, it is advised to check availability on 01302 831388 or by e-mailing sales@castle-park.co.uk. The traditional Christmas Lunch precedes the 2pm match kick-off and costs just £15 on top of the price of your entry. It also includes wine and traditional entertainment.

We are extremely honoured to welcome back once again the Armthorpe and Elmfield Brass Band who will be entertaining the diners with traditional Christmas carols to enhance the mood of what is always a fantastic day
out.

Our opponents on the 19th, Moseley, inflicted a surprise defeat on the Knights in round four of the Championship, bringing down Lynn Howells’ men 33- 25 at Billesley Common. In spite of being in the lead twice, the Knights could not make the game safe and, for the second week running, they threw away a bonus point. In the fifth minute of injury time the Knights lost control of the ball and it gave Moseley the opportunity to kick through and score. Moseley took the game at the death, which left the Knights stunned.

It sets up today’s game as chance to right the wrongs for the Castle Park side. Despite the defeat, Glen Townson scored his first try for the Knights and Scottish winger Dougie Flockhart got a brace, which showed a game that hung in the balance and was not dominated by either side.
