Knights Of The Waves

Doncaster Knights and Armthorpe School teamed up for a raft race yesterday and came out undisputed winners.

First team prop Lewis Thiede visted Armthorpe School last week, and his work helping the students with the design paid dividends. No one knew Lewis was king of the raft design.

DIRECT staff Stewart Cullen and James Murphy worked with the Armthorpe School students in the searing heat, and came away with the victory in true Doncaster Knights style.

The day, which was covered by Tom Ingall for Look North, was built around teaching children about the teamwork they will need to take them into adult working life.

The Knights were proud to sponsor Armthorpe Schools entry, and were happy to lend a hand.
