Knight Faces Russia

Doncaster Knight’s Prop Start Corsar is missing out on the pain of an Armthorpe Rd pre season as he represents Scotland in the 2009 IRB Nations Cup. Young Scot Corsar has swapped Castle Park for the Stadionul National Arcul de Triumf in Bucharest, playing in the front row as Scotland “A” defeated Russia 49 points to 7 in the competitions opening game.

Although Scotland appeared the most experienced side by far, the sheer size and willingness to enter into the contact side of the game of the Russians created entertaining rugby throughout.

Scotland, sticking to their tactic of moving the ball around at speed overcame Russia running in 8 tries in the process, which may set them up as the side to beat in the competition.

The first chance to see Corsar and his fellow Knights in action back at Castle Park this season will have a Scottish theme, when Doncaster entertain Glasgow Warriors on Armthorpe rd on the 21st of August which promises to be a packed Friday night of entertainment.

With displays from the cheerleaders that recently performed at Murrayfield, A Kidz Zone powered by Army recruitment including the rolling rocks and much more entertainment planned the Knights look to start the season with a bang.

For more information on these deals keep an eye on the Knights official website at www.drfc.co.uk , including the new corporate offers where companies can get a huge discount on 100 tickets for their staff to have a great day out at Castle Park.
