Simon Honey

Simon Honey made his debut this weekend for Sheffield Tigers against Cleckheaton, as part of the relationship between the two clubs to strengthen South Yorkshire rugby.

Honey, who has had many successes suring his time in the Knights Academy, helped bolster an injury ravaged Tigers side alongside other Academy players such as full back Will Durandt. The combination of the two young Knights stars paid dividends for the Tigers as early as 7 minutes in as the Dore Moor side took on Cleckheaton.

Honey scored the opening try, and Durandt added the extras which send the Sheffield side on their way to a 34-22 victory despite missing key players including influentiual skipper Dave Scully.
