7 mins: After the forwards had made good ground into Ayr's 22, Hudson Tonga'uiha is on hand to over for the first try. Ali Warnock's conversion attempt goes just wide. (5-0)

19-22 mins: Knights on the front foot midway into Ayr's half and now have a penalty. Warnock puts the ball into touch for a five metre line out, the ball is secured and the forwards have it under control, after the referee awards a second penalty the knights set the scrum. The ball goes in and the Knights push forward allowing Chris Planchant to peel off and score. Warnock this adds the conversion from wide. (12-0)

25 mins: Knights steal an Ayr line out on their own 22 and are taking the ball forwards in hand. Having reached halfway Ali Warnock puts in a kick deep into Ayr's half. (12-0)

30 mins: As the Knights are looking for fast ball along the line a stray pass to Tom Davies is just a bit too far behind the prop to be taken and in the end a knock on occurs. Ayr scrum ten metres into the Knights half. (12-0)

34 mins: For the last few minutes Ayr have enjoyed better possesion and position in the Knights half than they have had all half and now have a scrum inside the Knights 22, but it is turned and now Matt D'arcy has the put in. (12-0)

37-39 mins: Knights penalised at the line out. Ross Currie the Ayr fly half finds touch midway inside the Knights 22, they secure their own line out but as the ball goes wide it is lost but the ref brings play back for an Ayr penalty. Again Currie puts the ball into touch for a line out, again the line out is secured but as the ball is worked wide it is lost and the Knights have a scrum. (12-0)

40+mins: Approaching the third minute of added time and its Ayr who have a scrum midway back in their own half, but as the ball comes into play they lose it & Dougie Flockhart shows some great skill as he broke away down the right flank before he was caught by the Ayr defense. (12-0)

Second Half

43 mins: Knights on the attack, after reaching the midway point of Ayr's half the referee has blown for a Doncaster scrum. The ball goes in and comes out and the Knights attack down the right, earning a penalty as Ayr steal the ball illegally. (12-0)

48 mins: Knights penalty, Ali Warnock steps up for the kick from out on the right hand side of the pitch and his kick is good. (15-0)

51-54 mins: After a superb break down the left wing by Hudson, support is there and Glen Townson takes the ball into the Ayr 22. The forwards soon take control and are held up, play is brought back for a Knights scrum, after a solid drive the referee blows for the scrum to be reset, the second time the ball goes in it it stolen an Ayr clear momenterally. 56 mins: Ayr penalised inside their 22, for what looked like offside. Warnock steps up to take the penalty which is all but straight in front of the posts. His kick is good and the Knights lead is extended. (18-0)

60 mins: The ball is spread wide and Hudson Tonga'uiha breaks down the left flank and puts in a great kick for Matty Williams to chase and collect and run in to score under the posts. Warnock adds the conversion. (25-0)

64 mins: Matt D'arcy is caught by the Ayr defense. Currie finds touch right on the Knights 22, they win their line out but the throw is adjudged to be not straight so its a Doncaster scrum now on their own 22. (25-0)

69 mins: A great side step by Currie, Ayr's fly half finds his replacement prop Steven Adair on the inside to score. Mark Stewart adds the conversions. (25-7)

75 mins: As Ayr are attacking down their left flank a pass inside is intercepted by Ali Warnock who breaks away unnapposed to score under the posts. The fly half then converted his own try. (32-7)

78 mins: Chris Briers breaks away and scores out on the right wing but the try is dissalowed for a previous infringement and Ayr have a scrum midway in their own half. (32-7)
