Howells announces team

Doncaster Knights Director of Rugby Lynn Howells announced the team to venture forth into the British and Irish Cup against Ayr this Sunday at 2pm.

The big team news is the return of talismanic team captain Anthony Carter at full back after his season long recover from a neck Injury. The partnership of Tighthead and Loosehead is also one of note as two Doncaster born and bred players fill the number 1 and 3 shirts for this game, with another graduate of the Knights Mini Junior rugby production line on the bench in the shape of Lewis Thiede. Lewis has been on loan at Otley this season, but has been called back to cover for Tongan Prop Toma Toke who is on International duty.
 

Scrum Half Chris Hallam is rested for this game, with Irishman Matthew D’Arcy taking up the no 9 shirt and it is another opportunity for Chris Briers to prove himself as Bevon Armitage takes a well deserved rest.
