Barnardo’s Yorkshire works with over 14,000 children, young people and their families in 43 services across the region.

Through a diverse range of services Barnardo’s works to address the widely differing needs their workers face on a daily basis from problems such as abuse, homelessness and poverty to tackling the challenges of disability. Barnardo’s Yorkshire services include:

* Adoption and fostering services

* Help for young people who have been sexually exploited

* Support for children who have been abused and who self harm

* Help for looked after children and those leaving care

* Care and community services for disabled children and their families

* Training and support for young people with special learning needs and those who are not in education, employment or training

* Support for homeless young people

* Work with children who have displayed inappropriate sexual behaviour

* A residential special school for young people with learning difficulties

* Help and advice for families experiencing complex and multiple needs

* Support for teenage parents.

Barnardo’s sticks by every child they work with – no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. They support them, stand up for them and bring out the best in each and every child.
