Knights Director of Rugby Lynn Howells announces his team to travel to Penzance and attempt a raid on the Pirates, who are now ensconced in their stronghold of the Mennaye Field.

Neil Cochrane Captains a side which features just 5 debutantes in the starting XV despite the large number of personnel changes this this summer at Castle Park. New boys Paul Devlin, Tristan Roberts, Matt Challinor, James Craig and Ed Jackson will look forward to their first league start in the Knights jersey against a Pirates side expected to put up a stern defence.

For Paul Devlin it is a return to the club he only left at the end of the season comes at the start of this one, the irony not lost on the Knights player fitness coach.

Williams and Flockhart will look to profit from the combination of Devlin and Briers at centre, a pairing already noted for their vision rather than a singular commitment to running the ball hard at every opportunity.

A matter of local pride, especially for Doncaster thriving Mini Junior Rugby section ( who have their registration day on Sunday 5th September) will be the including of Cusack and Thiede starting in the front row. A pairing at the business end of the scrum who both came through the ranks with the volounteer coaching and support within Castle Park is another indication of the quality and hard work of people involved in the Mini Junior Rugby setup.
