Doncaster Knights A XV lines up against Leicester Tigers AXV with a predominantly Academy team, 9 of the players in the squad being Knights senior Academy players. The rest of the squad is made up from teams associated with the Knights and their support of Yorkshire Rugby. Sheffield Tigers, Hull, Harrogate and Hull Ionians all commit players to AXV games as part of the support and development network for Rugby in the area.

Leicester Tigers Academy fell to a single-point defeat against Leeds Carnegie at West Park Leeds on Wednesday evening.

Centre Connor Smith played a captain's part with a first-half try, but Tigers trailed 10-12 at the interval and were pipped 16-17 at the final whistle.
