Doncaster Knights are happy to announce the signing of Chris Bundy, 31 year old No 8 from Welsh Premiership club Beddau, a club Knights Assistant coach Brett Davey knows well from his time playing and coaching there.
Davey has been complimentary about Bundy previously, even mentioning the back row player in his list of top XV players he had played alongside in National Newspapers.
Bundy, who has been at the South Wales club since the age of 8 gave us these comments.
“It was Bret Davey who contacted me, with Doncaster having injury problems at no 8 asking me if I’d be interested in spending the rest of the season there. “ Bundy Said, “I asked my two Children, Chloe and Paige what they thought and they told me to go for it as they love watching me play Rugby.”
Chris arrived Sunday, and has trained with the squad all week. He travelled over to watch the Knights play against Nottingham and gave us these thoughts, “The game wasn’t as physical as I’d imagined in the Championship and both sides played plenty of Rugby. I made the decision then that I thought I could do something for the Knights.”
Chris finished with “I never imagined I would play anywhere but Beddau, having spent my life there. Doncaster Knights is something new, and you should always take a chance with both hands.
Chris Bundy is due to be on the Bench for Doncaster Knights game this Saturday against London Welsh, 3pm Kick off, and will be hoping to get a game in the RFU Championship.
