Doncaster Knights announce their first new signing for the 2010-2011 RFU Championship season as 25 year old Matt Challinor, moving across South Yorkshire from Rotherham Titans.

Matt, who put forward a massive performance when the Knights were defeated by Rotherham at Clifton Lane early in the 2009-10 season, has announced a desire to play in the Second Row but is a capable Blindside Flanker. Last season with Rotherham Titans he managed 4 tries, which is a fair return for any forward.

The 6 foot 4 inch , 18 stone Second Row players can count Leeds Tykes, Harrogate, Morley and Rotherham Titans as previous Clubs.

During the Championship season 2009-10 Challinor made 13 First stage starts and 6 appearances as sub, with his playoff campaign appearances numbering 6 starts.

Matt also made 1 start and 1 appearance as sub in the British and Irish Cup, as well as scooping the Rotherham Titans player of the year award.

We hope to catch up with Matt next week for a one on one interview.
