Lynn Howells moves quickly to ensure cover at Scrum Half after the injury to Nathan Jones by snapping up promising 21 year old number 9 Peter Jericevich from Glasgow Hawks.
Jericevich, a former Scotland Under 19s player of the year is currently on the books of Glasgow Hawks and has been in the Glasgow Warriors selection squad over the past three seasons, making the bench for a game against Ulster despite his young age. Jericevich, whose interesting surname is the legacy of his father Grant’s Maori / Croatian heritage is a product of Aberdeen Grammar and Garioch RFC junior rugby .
On his move as short term loan cover to Doncaster Jerevich commented, “ Glasgow Hawks are a great club, coaches like Peter Wright have been fantastic for me. When my agent mentioned the chance to try out the RFU Championship with Doncaster Knights it sounded like a chance to do something a little different and I agreed to travel down and train with the squad.”
The Scottish Premier side are just currently 3 points off the top of the table, due to the perfect start to the season by Boroughmuir showing the strength of the current Hawks side.
Peter has also taken part in 6 Tournaments for Scotland 7’s and represented Scotland in the XV man game at under 20’s level.
