Whilst much of the build up of late has been for tomorrow’s derby clash and the fantastic activities surrounding the 2013 Charity Day, it is our Good Friday match against Nottingham that will be filmed under the Sky Sports cameras at the earlier kick off time of 4:45pm.
The Knights follow up today's derby game with a trip to Goldington Road eager to make amends for the one point defeat Bedford Blues inflicted on them earlier in the season at Castle Park. A supporters coach for the game is organised, if you wish to make the trip and lend some much needed away support sign up on the list out side the sales office today, or call Mick May on 07774623832.
But the next home match after tomorrow on March 29th (Good Friday if you’ve forgotten) is where the change comes in as the Knights do battle with near rivals Nottingham at 4.45pm at Castle Park.
Our Good Friday fixture, being a bank holiday, should give chance for the whole family to attend as the RFU and Sky Sports have amended kick off time to be covered live on Sky Sports in a second live TV showing of the season following the Maori match. We hope for a bumper crowd for the occasion to show Castle Park in all its glory on live TV, watch out for offers next week.
Before kick off against Nottingham three exciting events will be taking place in hospitality; firstly the inaugural Construction Dinner, Doncaster Knights Business Club and the final TOSSERS meeting of the season.
The Construction Dinner is a great chance for those involved in the trade to enjoy some good food and drink amongst like minded people, before cheering the Knights on with the Castle Park faithful.
Most of you will know what a TOSSERS Dinner entails, but for any fans yet to experience such a meeting don't miss the final opportunity of the season. Expect the finest feast, great atmosphere and an interesting blend of entertainment.
The Knights final fixture of the season comes on April 20th against Plymouth Albion, the game could well seal the Knights fate this season and certainly not one to be missed. Castle Park will be ending the season in style and throwing a pre-match supporters lunch, so why not make the most out of what may prove to be a momentous day in the Knights recent history.
Tickets for all the above are still available by contacting Doncaster Knights reception on 01302 831388 or through the website at www.drfc.co.uk .
