Great Britain U18 Community Lions v Australian Schoolboys Rugby League International Sunday 3 December Castle Park, Doncaster RUFC KO: 2.00pm Adults: £5 – Concessions: Free The Great Britain U18 Community Lions are prepared for their toughest challenge yet, as they come face to face with the 2006 Australian Schoolboys. The renowned Schoolboys have a reputation for producing future stars, and over the years have provided a major career stepping stone for players such as Brad Fittler, Jamie Lyon and Greg Inglis to name but a few. After agonisingly losing to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in the final minute recently, Great Britain Manager Joe Elliott is confident his chargers can raise their game further against such formidable opposition. “Although we were desperately unlucky to lose against the AIS, I was happy with the overall performance of the side,” said Elliott. “After playing France and then the AIS we know that the Australian Schoolboys will provide us with an even greater challenge, however I am confident we will acquit ourselves well.” Australian Schoolboys President Bruce Wallace is also looking forward to the encounter. “The match against the Great Britain U18 Community Lions is another first for us and I am sure it will provide another exciting challenge for our young side.”
