It’s a case of “last man standing” for the Knights this weekend as Jason Forster joins the growing list of late season injuries. He has fluid on his left knee, having had to withdraw at half time last weekend.
Simon Grainger gets the call at flanker and Russ Earnshaw assumes the captaincy. Other changes see home grown prop Tom Davies get a start in place of Simon Bunting, and Steve Boden at hooker in rotation with Ben Phillips.
Whatever the outcome, the Knights will finish in 3rd spot, or 15th in the country – a remarkable outcome that exceeds expectations.
Bedford come to town on the crest of a wave of excellent form and one of four teams that could take fourth spot in the table. They and the three West Country sides (Pirates, Plymouth and Exeter) are separated by a single point and they are keen to deny the West Country a four, five, six finish behind the Yorkshire trio at the table top. They name a full strength side.
