Sedgley Park v Doncaster on Saturday Doncaster make eight changes to the side that started last week at Northampton, for this weekend’s short trip to north Manchester where 12th placed Sedgley Park are the opposition. The changes are made to give well earned rests to Justin Bishop and Glen Wilson and in response to injuries, none of which is serious but with a squad to chose from Lynn Howells has the opportunity to look at different combinations.
Anthony Carter returns at full back, with Wes Davies on the wing in Bishop’s place. Tom Luke gets a first start, at inside centre with Spencer Davey moving to outside. Ben Jones came through last week off the bench to reclaim his place at scrum half. In the pack John Rawson and Chris Planchant get starts deserved by strong training and “A” team performances; and Bryn Griffiths back strain has healed to allow him to take over from the injured Sean Tomes. Hooker Steve Boden will captain the side for the first time in Glen Wilson’s absence.
Knights: A Carter, W Davies, S Davey, T Luke, D Van Vuuren, M Woodrow, B Jones, T Davies, S Boden, J Rawson, B Griffiths, G Kenworthy, S Gray, S Grainger, C Planchant. Bench: N Tau, R List, M Soden, O Cook, A Nicoud, B Hunt, P Bailey Referee: T Wigglesworth (RFU)
