The Club Needs You!! – message from Mick May

“Within the Club, we are aware that there is a wealth of untapped resources in the form of OAPs and the semi retired..

We would like to set up a group of willing volunteers, both ladies and gentlemen, who would be prepared to give up some of their spare time, on a regular basis, to carry out various pieces of work that would help to improve standards at the Club. These jobs could include (amongst others), ground and maintenance, painting and marketing. No special skills will be required, and all are welcome.

Initially, in order to gauge the number of people that would be prepared to help, and to discuss what work requires their attention, we would like to hold an exploratory meeting at the Club on Tuesday 30th October 2007 at 10.00am.

Please spread the word. We are not asking people to give up all their spare time, but if we can attract a good number of volunteers, then we will be able to achieve a lot, each week, in a short space of time.

We will also be looking for a name to call ourselves, which we hope will add yet another aspect to the social side of Doncaster Rugby Club.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the 29th.”
