Another fantastic game in the 20 year history of the Boxing Day match at Castle Park. Two teams came together to blow away a few cobwebs and raise money for some fantastic causes. A Late kickoff due to pre match Christmas cheer did nothing to dampen the spirit of a crowd looking forward to seeing some familiar faces stride out onto the first team pitch at Castle Park. Some fantastic play led to International quality Tries in abundance, a few of which are represented on our Podcast Page accessible by clicking the link on the right.
Post match, both Captains were gracious enough to give interviews, which are also included for your enjoyment.
Whilst the final score will still be debated , probably until kickoff Boxing Day 2008, what can not be in any doubt is the sheer fun of the afternoon and the value of its occurence to the Charities involved. We do aim to get further news of "Boxing Day 2008" and are hoping to release some player biographies on the run up to next Christmas.
