Saturday 19th January is "Robin Hood Tournament" Day as Doncaster Schools. The newly named Robin Hood Trophy will be competed for on the morning of the Nottingham game with several schools confirming taking part,
Willow, Tickhill Estfeld, Warmsworth, St Peters, Mount Carmel, Bessecar, Holy Family, Hachell Wood and Hilltop will be sending their Year 5 and 6 pupils to compete for this prize. The Trophy will be awarded during the game but be prepared to see the boys and girls in action as they put on some exhibition Rugby during the half time break.
Co-ordinator Ali Wood said “These Tournaments are important to raise the standard of Rugby in Doncaster, introducing Children to a competitive environment at an early age”
Doncaster Knights hope to match the children’s enthusiasm for the game when they take on Nottingham at Castle park on 2.30 of that day as 3rd faces fourth in the league at Castle Park.
