Doncaster Knights have signed 21 year old outside centre George Hughes from Bath. He weighs 92 kg and is 1.8m tall. George joined the Bath Academy in 2005 fresh from completing his “A” level studies at Cheltenham College. In pre-season last year George trained with the 1st XV squad and was awarded a bursary contract which enabled him to continue his full time studies in Science and Exercise Science alongside training with the Bath squad. His promise was recognised by England for whom he played at U18 and U19 levels, the former as captain. George is regarded as a strong running outside centre with a deceptive turn of pace who has played regularly for the Bath United side this season as well as playing one match on loan to Newbury.
