Demolition begins in earnest today as the stadium development enters its second week. With the site set up and preparations made the demolishing of the old West Stand by mechanical digger was a sight to behold, with some video included below.
At various stages the JCB seemed like some prehistoric beast chewing away at the old stand, and the vibrations could be felt at the opposite side of the pitch as it crashed into the old concrete and steel structure.
With the time scale passed for remembers to remove their seats , the old West Stand will be no more in a matter or days and the next stage of the Castle Park Stadium project will be well on its way.
