Steve Leyshon, recently appointed as RFU Referee Panel Development Manager, was a visitor to Castle Park today for a planned meeting with Pieter Muller. Leyshon, and his deputy Steve Savage, are getting round the National One clubs to ensure the Directors of Rugby are fully aware of the current agreement on how the Game is refereed at this level; and to listen to the Club's view of how this is affecting their game plans.
The RFU are also keen that DoRs feedback to the RFU Referee Department on individual referee performances, and share match videos with the RFU for use in referee development.
