As the finishing touches are put to the masterplan of Lynn Howells, one of the final pieces of the jigsaw will be Scrum Half Jamie Albinson.

Albinson, who comes to us direct from Sedgely Tigers is a scrum half that the Director of Rugby has previous experience of.

“I remember this boy playing against us, he did the things that were missing from our play that day, it made him stand out” Lynn told us. “he has great game awareness, especially at the breakdown and is a great decision maker”.

When alerted to the availability of Jamie, Howells had no hesitation in making him a Knights player. Standing at 175cm and weighing in at 80kg the Manchester born player has clocked up more than 60 National League One starts, and gets over the try line from the Scrum Half position. A notable feature of Albinson’s game is communication, which is one of the key reasons his signature was sought by the Knights Director of Rugby.

Albinson, like Chris Hallam, is known for his pace and agility during a game which should mean some excellent competition for a first team berth this year.

Last season Jamie was voted Sedgeley Tigers young player of the season, and has represented England at U18 level.
