Middlesbrough's Jonny McCaskill was defeated last night by Sheffield's Alex McKenzie in a short , brutal encounter at Castle Park. The new WAKO K1 rules British Title holder McKenzie stuck to his task with ruthless efficiency after opening the fight as the less aggresive fighter. Taking measure of McCaskill's brute strength and work rate Alex turned on a methodical assault which overcame the youngster from the North East and the fight was ended early by his trainer, a battered and bloody McCaskill seemed stunned by the decision but the whole room realised it was the right one.
