ARCO Doncaster Knights Tag Rugby Tournament.

Thursday the 3rd of July will see another huge childrens' Tag Rugby Tournament at Castle Park as the DIRECT Charity have invited 600 local schoolchildren to take part in the celebration. Local schools from all areas of the Borough will be travelling to the Doncaster Knights' Castle Park ground to test their skills against each other on the ruby pitch, as well as making an attempt at a record breaking Haka.

The ritual All Blacks Challenge is one of the “ Take 10” exercises delivered by The Knights' Tackle Health programme, an initiative sponsored by Environmental Surveyors Wilbourn Associates.

ARCO, a leading distributor of safety and maintenance supplies have recently opened a branch in Doncaster and were keen to involve themselves in the local community straight away.

"With 6 teams competing on 10 pitches, there will be plenty of action and plenty of chances to win for the teams taking part" says David Butler, DIRECT's Community Manager. "We are very grateful to ARCO who have not only sponsored the tournament, but have provided us with many fantastic items for each participant's goody bag. Also the sight of 600 youngsters performing the Haka at the same time is going to be a sight to behold."

The tournament kicks off at 11am, with the Haka taking place at around 2pm
