Luke Gross, one of the most influential players at Castle Park has decided to call time on his rugby career. The Indiana, USA born Lock made his decision today at Castle Park after not taking part in pre season due to injury.

With 62 caps for his home country, and a career that took in Premiership rugby Luke has made a success of his time in the sport. More than that Luke has been a great ambassador for the game and for Doncaster Knights in particular.

Lynn Howells commented, " I respect Lukes decision to follow a new path, this is a sad day for us all as he is as important off the pitch as he is on it with his ability and unique playing style".

The future holds many options for Luke Gross, and like everyone in rugby Doncaster Knights are sure he will make as big an impact in the future as he has done on the rugby pitch.
