Sunday 17th August. Guinness Premiership side Worcester Warriors will be the first team that the Knights test themselves against in the 08/09 season as Lynn Howells welcomes his predecessor Clive Griffiths back to his old stomping ground for the opening friendly. In a twist of fate Ben Jones , who only left the Knights at the end of the season may be back in the colours of his new team, the Warriors. With Worcester finishing above Newcastle Falcons in last seasons Premiership and Lynn Howells new look , youthful Knights side having a point to prove this game looks set to be an instant classic.

Welsh Principality Premiership side Llannelli come to Castle Park on Saturday 23rd August. Llanelli are a club who have tasted success, most recently with the Welsh Cup in 2005 and the Welsh Premier in 2002. Prior to regionalisation of Welsh rugby Llanelli were known as the third most successful team in European club rugby. With the strong Welsh presence in the Knights squad, and the recent defection of Llanelli conditioning coach Aled Walters to the Knights setup this is surely to be a hotly contested game.

Keep your eyes out for the offers on these two prestige friendly games as Doncaster Knights team up with partners to make these two games a great day out at a great price.

And then on to the League. Saturday 30th August sees the opening day of the League campaign, recently promoted Otley the first of many teams hoping to lay siege to Castle Park. The opening day has been run in association with St Leger Homes, so anyone with a St Leger Homes tenancy can take part in our fantastic offer. For the amazing price of only £10 a family of four (2 adults 2 children) can enjoy the match day experience at Castle Park. These tickets must be purchased in advance, and proof of tenancy must be produced (rent card) to be valid for this amazing offer.

We hope to see as many possible help us turn up the heat at Castle Park as the Knights go back into battle for the 2008/09 season in National League One.
