Otley

Both Doncaster and Otley have named strong lineups for this weekend's 2.30pm clash at Castle Park. The Knights face newly promoted Otley in the first game of the 2008/09 National Division One season, with the Yorkshire derby looking like a tough opener for both teams. Each will be looking to get the season started with a win. Otley are on something of a winning streak following a very successful season in Div 2. With the Knights fielding a squad containing 21 new signings they will have to work hard for a positive result.

4 mins. After starting slightly the better with possesion in the Doncaster half Otley loose the ball in the Doncaster third.

9 mins. Doncaster are having a spell of possesion of their own after defending well on their line after good pressure from Otley.

11 mins. Doncaster broke out well but loose the ball to an Otley scrum on the half way line.

13 mins. Good break from Hudson Tonga'uiha gives Doncaster a scrum of their own just into the Otley half.

18 mins. Otley score the first try of the game, following some good play. Try is converted by their winger.

22 mins. Doncaster hit back with a try of their own, scored by Chris Hughes. Conversion is missed.

26 mins. Try scored by the captain Adam Kettle after good work from the forwards, this time Warnock makes the conversion.

30 mins, Doncaster steal a line out in their own half & Andrew Wright breaks well into the Otley half, but gives away a penalty for holding on.

32 mins, Following an infrignement at the scrum Otley miss their resulting penalty attempt.

37 mins, Doncaster get a penalty as a result of holding on & now have a line out midway into the Otley half.

40mins, The referee blows for halftime after four minutes of both teams battling it out for possesion around about the half way line.

SECOND HALF.

41 mins, Otley loose ball at halfway, Bryn breaks well to the corner and the ball is spread to Ali Warnock who scores right under the posts & coverts the try.

45 mins. Doncaster turn an Otley line out right in their third & spread the ball well to Chris Hughes, but the break comes to an end with a penalty awarded to Otley.

49 mins, Ngalu Tau is replaced by Michael Cusack & Bevan Armitage replaces George Hughes.

53 mins, Otley are having a bit of possesion in the Doncaster half & have been given a penalty by the referee which Robin Kitching makes to reduce the defecit.

56 mins, Doncaster win the ball after the re start and Bryn Griffiths goes over in the corner after a good charge by the forwards. Ali Warnock misses the conversion.

60 mins, Richard List & Dan Smith are replaced by Toma Toke & Neil Cochrane.

63 mins, Antony Carter goes over in the corner after a nice break by Doncaster, Ali Warnocks conversion attempt misses.

66 mins, Doncaster win a scrum after the restart but go on to loose possesion out wide.

68 mins, Jamie Albinson is brought on for Chris Hallam & Jamie Lennard comes in for Antony Carter.

72 mins, Robin Kitching scores Otleys second try of the game following quick spread of the ball after winning their line out. The conversion attempt is missed.

75 mins, Doncaster are pressing after winning the ball after the restart and now have a line out just into the Otley half, which they've just lost & now Otley have the ball back.

77 mins, Good pressure from Doncaster on the Otley line, Warnock goes for the cross field kick which Andrew Wright wasn't far off taking to score.

80 mins, Toma Toke crashes over after good play from the forwards again, Ali Warnock makes the conversion & the referee blows to bring the game to its conclusion.
