Macmillan Cancer Support is urging everyone to join the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 26 September and help raise a much needed £7 million for people affected by cancer.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is a world-breaking event and one of the largest fundraising events in the UK. Last year nearly two million people, including a host of celebrities, took part in the fun by hosting or attending coffee events across the UK and not only raised a staggering £7 million between them but also had a great time catching up with friends, family and colleagues.

One in three people will get cancer with 2 million people in the UK living with the disease. All money raised last year helped Macmillan be a source of practical, medical, emotional and financial support to those affected by cancer. So every cup of coffee on 28 September really does count and every £1 raised can really make a difference to help people through their cancer journey.

Celebrity supporter, Martin Clunes, says, “My family, like many in the UK, knows first hand the devastating impact a cancer diagnosis can have. That’s why I am getting involved again in World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 29 September - to support the charity’s work to help the increasing number of people who now live with cancer. However much you raise, whether it is £10, £20 or £200, Macmillan needs your support, my support, everyone’s support more than ever.”

Everyone can make their cuppa count by holding a coffee morning, at home, at work or at school. To find out more or register for World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, call 0845 602 1246 or visit www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee
