DIRECT Charity Appointments

With the success story of the Knights charity, DIRECT, comes a need for growth to not only maintain but to exceed current levels. To this end DIRECT have taken the bold step of doubling the amount of contracted staff, bringing in people who have experience of the club as well as lots of experience in their specific duties.

We thought the best way would be to let them write their own hello message.....

Stewart Cullen

Rugby Development Officer

Castle Park

Hi my name is Stewart Cullen and I was born and live in Doncaster.

My work history consists of coaching, teaching and instructing all age ranges in a variety of activities, which are based around sport and fitness.

My passion is rugby and have been a Doncaster Knights fan for many a year, and been lucky enough to work with Ali And Rachel on several projects over the years from Summer Camp to match day work.

One of the main reasons I have joined DIRECT is to assist in promoting Rugby Union to children in the community, in school and out of school. I believe this will also help to get children more active in the Doncaster community, which will lead to better fitness levels and improved social skills.

I like life, smiling, I think I have a good sense of humour and excellent communication skills, to the point when I am often told by my friends to be quiet.

Feel free to come and have a chat with me any time.

Stewart.

Suzie Hill

Funding Officer

DIRECT

Castle Park

Hello my name is Suzie Hill and I have just been employed as the new Funding Officer for DIRECT.

I have over 12 years experience of Funding and Project Management, which will all be of use here down at Castle Park.

For the last six years I have been working for the Local Authority as a project Co-ordinator on a project that aimed to help tackle the issues of social exclusion within the Doncaster Borough.

I am hoping that with my knowledge of the game of rugby, Castle Park, Funding and Social Exclusion, I will be able to obtain funding in order to keep DIRECT sustainable for many more years to come.

I have a huge passion for the game of rugby, which I have been heavily involved with for over 20 years. I play, coach the under 10’s, under 15’s girls and now the under 18’s girls, as well as trying to find time to referee as well. I spend plenty of time at Castle Park already....

I’m really looking forward to working down here now, and am very keen to get started within my new role.

Please feel free to contact me if there is anything that you think I can help with in relation to funding, as there are plenty of people at our club with good ideas.

Many Thanks

Suzie Hill
