We are looking forward to the visit of Rotherham, who last weekend
went in to joint top spot in the NC2 league. Whilst we
know it will be a hard game, there is an air of expectancy around
Castle Park and nothing but a win will satisfy the players or the
supporters.
The 2nd XV have made a good start to the season, defending their NC2
Title. We have won all five of our league games and we are looking to build on our early success. The squad has been built on a blend of home spun youth, seasoned campaigners and young overseas talent, in the form of Stevie Meyer and Rory Van Deventer.
Thursday night will see the return to action of Rob Liley at No 10 following an injury in pre-season, and Duncan Murray returning from a groin strain. With the inclusion of our young scrum half Dan Storey, It will be a great opportunity to see the half back pairing of Storey and Liley in operation together.
We are looking to light the blue touch paper on a fruitful weekend of
Rugby for Doncaster. Kick off on Thursday is at 7.30pm. Entry is free.
