With the 1st XV in action at Nottingham on Friday night (7.30pm), attention on Saturday turned to the 2nd team fixture between the clubs which The Greens won deservedly by 14-28. Also at home that day were Phoenix whobeat Hullensians 26-7 to go top of their league. On the road were the Dragons, who lost 17-7 at Mansfield Vets, and Phoenix 2nds, who lost 12-10 at Halifax 3rds. On Sunday the Colts home game against Wharfedale was cancelled.
