Glen Wilson joins Doncaster..........
Doncaster’s recruitment for next season’s campaign, which yesterday saw Newcastle Falcon’s Luke Gross sign up, is given added impetus with the move of Otley’s highly rated skipper Glen Wilson to Castle Park.
The 29 year old back row forward, who previously played for Wakefield and has represented England Counties and Yorkshire, captained Otley in both games against Doncaster last season. He is a strong ball carrying number eight. He is the current Yorkshire captain.
Asked why he had made the move to Yorkshire rivals, Glen said: “Doncaster is an ambitious club who are going places, and with Clive Griffiths on board to give new direction as head coach, I think we will become a strong force in National One next season. The facilities here are excellent – I was really impressed with the match day environment when I played here and I really look forward to settling in and giving my best to the club in the future”.
