Ben Jones

......Doncaster sign a Saint.......

Ben Jones joins from Northampton.

Following the relocation of Charlie Harrison, and the loss of Llyr Lane back to Wales, Doncaster have moved to fill the scrum half position next season by signing Ben Jones from Northampton Saints.

Ben, aged 23 years, has only ever previously played at Northampton, has been in the Saints’ senior squad for the last 3 years and was their Young Player of the Year in 2004/05. He made 10 first team appearances last season, mostly off the bench.

Asked what motivated him to change club now, Ben said that “the main reason is to get regular first team rugby. I didn’t think facilities in National One were as good as they are at Castle Park – I was blown away when I came to look around at Clive Griffiths invitation recently and when I heard his plans for Doncaster I wanted to be a part a set up that will surprise a lot of people this season!”
