..........New Fitness and Conditioning Coach appointed......
......Support for the increasingly professional squad at Doncaster has been enhanced by the appointment of Geoff Evans as full time fitness and conditioning coach at Castle Park.
An Australian who played rugby league in Brisbane, Geoff was also the national junior sprint champion, a national swimmer and a triathlete. He has a degree in Sports Science and Nutrition.
Geoff joins the club from Huddersfield where he held the same role last season for both the soccer and rugby league clubs. He previously performed the role at Leeds Rhinos, St Helens and Wakefield and his arrival is considered by Clive Griffiths to be a major coup for Doncaster. “Geoff is a top class guy in his field”, he said “and I am delighted he wanted to come here and be part of this developing set up. Keeping the squad in peak condition is a vital part of being successful throughout a long season when we will have 30 league games plus, hopefully, a good run in the Cup.”
