Alistair Wood at Castle Park

.....New Community Rugby Development Officer (RDO) appointed.......


 


 


Alistair Wood has been appointed full time RDO at Doncaster Rugby Club working for DIRECT (Doncaster Inclusive Rugby Education & Community Trust) and takes up his appointment on Monday 24th July.


 


Ali, who originates from Leicester but has family ties with Doncaster, brings with him a strong rugby playing experience and a broad set of skills required to fulfil work within the community. Ali studied PE at A level and continued his studies at University in Nottingham, completing a BSc in Sports Science and Management in July 2004. 


 


Tom Ryder, Programme Manager for DIRECT, commented: “We are delighted with Ali's appointment. He adds extra qualities to our quickly developing programme. His rapport and quality of work with young people was evident at interview and assessment. The young people of Doncaster have a lot to look forward to in the future under his guidance.'


 


Ali commented “on the progressive nature of the Club and its charitable trust, and how my appointment appeared one of several exciting developments currently taking place at Castle Park. This is a great career step for me and I feel I have plenty to offer the community programme at Doncaster”.
