Having already announced the signings of Jon Benson, Glen Kenworthy and Michael Wood from Rotherham, and Jonny Roddam from Sale, Muller has cast his net wider to attract the following additional players to Castle Park.

Steve Barretto, a tight or loose head prop from Leinster, and before that Orrell, who won six caps for Ireland U21.

Joe Van Der Berg, a centre from Nottingham, of South African origin who has played Currie Cup rugby and played Sevens for his country.

Steve Boden, a hooker from Hull Ionians, who was previously part of the Leeds Tykes Academy.

Llyr Lane, a scrum half from Coventry whose previous club was Gwent Dragons.

Danny Ligairi, a wing of Fijian origin, who played at Worcester before taking a break from the game to complete his studies.

Duncan Murray, a centre from Penzance, who played previously at Gloucester and Worcester and who captained Wales at U18.

Luke Nabaro, a wing from Bristol where he scored 26 tries in the Premiership. He also played one season at Pertemps Bees.

Ryan Peacey, a back row from Penzance who played previously at Gloucester and Saracens and was capped by England at U16, U18, U21 and at Sevens.

Amongst the 33 man squad are four local youth players recently out of the Club Colts – Tom Davies, Craig Deakin, James Rothwell and Dan Storey. Muller believes all four have the potential to make their mark in National One and that they will benefit greatly from being full members of the squad at this stage. The young South African, Stevie Meyer, who made his debut late in the recent season with eye catching displays, will also be returning to join the other four youngsters in the squad.
