The Knights in fourth place will be hoping for a first ever win against ninth placed Nottingham at Castle Park on Saturday and are able to field a strong team to do so.
With no injuries from last week’s one point loss at Plymouth, and centre Paul Bailey who missed that trip now fully fit again, the Knights side has a settled look to it – and with Donavan Van Vuuren and Russell Earnshaw back from long term injury and gaining match fitness in the corresponding “A” team fixture at Nottingham, and Ben Phillips back next weekend, competition for places will keep everyone on their toes this week.
For fly half Mark Woodrow it’s a first meeting with his old club although he starts on the bench, to add spice to the afternoon, but Dan Montagu who moved in the other direction this summer will miss the match with a broken ankle sustained at a pre season BBQ.
Nottingham field the same XV that routed Waterloo last weekend. They are to date the side that has scored most points: the Knights the side who have conceded fewest so something has to give at Castle Park. Kick off is at 2.30pm.
Doncaster: J Boden, Hunt, Bailey, Davey, W Davies, Benson, Jones, Bunting, S Boden, Tau, D Cook, Gross, Grainger, Forster, Wilson.
Bench: List, Plevey, T Davies, Kenworthy, O Cook, Scully, Woodrow.
Referee: Greg Garner (RFU)
