As well as an influx of talented athletes into Castle Park for the first XV we have our very own High Flyer. Claire Garner is a young lady who has attracted attention at a national level with her quick progression into the spotlight of Ladies rugby. Claire who is part of the RFUW Player Development Programme is excelling at her own age (U16’s) and impressing with the cream of England’s players at Under 19 level.
The club, who started playing in the under 7's, is delighted to support her most recent achievement which was inclusion in the national TASS scheme which is a funding vehicle for athletes identified a potentially elite. The funding will allow Claire to have access to one on one coaching and also fitness conditioning advice, education and facilities alongside the professional rugby set up at Doncaster Knights. This is an exiting opportunity for Claire, her school (Hall Cross) and her club, the Doncaster knights, and we wish her all the best.
