Doncaster Colts (Under 19s) are an integral part of the player development programme within the Senior Club. Matches are usually played on a Sunday morning and we compete in the National Colts Cup every season.

Steve Salvin - Head Coach

Steve Salvin, as an integral part of his appointment to create a Doncaster Knights' Academy, has also become Head Coach from July 2007. He will work closely with the Colts management team to ensure the Colts provide a performance pathway for this age group that maximises their potential as future Knights players.

The majority of each year’s Colts side formed the previous year’s under 17s, although a few of last year’s Colts remain age eligible this season and add experience to the side. This year will be a testing time for some of the squad members who will be playing in different positions to last season along with the introduction of a number of new team members. The team are playing in the Yorkshire Clubs’ Under 19s Division 1 this season, and also entered the National Colts Cup and Yorkshire cup respectively.

The squad now together as the Doncaster Colts for 2007/2008 know they have a successful tradition at this level to keep up. We will appreciate as much support as possible for our matches, home and away; and new players will always be warmly welcomed.
