Doncaster Colts had a comfortable 28-0 away win against Roundhegians Colts on Sunday in Yorkshire Cup 2^nd Round

Doncaster were missing a number of key players for this fixture, despite this the squad worked well together with a few lads playing out of position and performing well on the day. I would like to thank these lads who just got on with it and showed the team sprit.

The forwards did the usual good job and backs looked a real handful at times.

 Roundhegians were determined not to repeat the previous match result and put up good opposition in the pack.

Defensive play worked well again today keeping another clean sheet.

 The windy conditions played a part today for both sides with line outs being a problem for each and silly handling mistakes caused us to give the ball away a few times.

Doncaster missed a number of opportunities but despite this a good win for the colts, which allowed all the subs to be used in the second half.

The squad selection for future matches will be a hard one to call with all the players making a mark on the game.

The next Yorkshire Cup game is away against Middlesborough to be played on or before 11.2.07.
