Phoenix completed their pre-season games with their third win in a row against an Osset 1stxv last Saturday running out victors at 19-0 scores from Skidmore, Guest, Burton with Ellis slotting the two conversions. The second team also emerged victors against Doncaster Dragons.
The first official Saturday of the new season and Doncaster Phoenix encounter with Stanley Rodillians have been postponed due to Rods having to play in their preliminary Powergen Junior Vase game against Yorkshire 4 newcomers Aireborough.
Hence, Doncaster Phoenix 1st XV now make the short hop across town to play Wheatley Hills 2nd XV while Phoenix 2's travel to Wath to play their 3rd's.
