Doncaster Knights are the most promoted team in English Rugby Union History. Now plying their trade in the second tier , the RFU Championship, having won promotion to that level in April 2005. Rather than just surviving at this level the Knights have flourished, managing a best ever finish of third and a Semi Final of the British and Irish Cup
The club own their own ground, the aptly named Castle Park, which is a 22 acre site 4 miles from the Town Centre that has some of the best Rugby
facilities in South Yorkshire.

Doncaster RFC rebranded as the Knights in 2006, an easy decision as they play at Castle Park. The Knights are a full time professional outfit, the recent restructure of the second tier led to the formation of the RFU Championship and the new cross border competition the British and Irish Cup
.
This new cup competition has seen the Knights entertaining such sides as Cardiff and Scottish Premiership inners Ayr at Castle Park , as well as them travelling to deepest darkest South Wales to take on Pontypridd. In the first season of the B&I Cup the Knights kept a 100% record of bonus point wins in the group stages making it as far as the Semi Final.
As part of the commitment to the family game Castle Park, the home of the Doncaster Knights has some of the best Rugby viewing facilities in South Yorkshire. The state of the art £2.2m De Mulder Lloyd has spacious 12 person corporate boxes for hire on matchdays for a full season catered for from the award winning Castle Park kitchens. The Clubside Restaurant opens matchdays for 3 course meal
hospitality you can book table or individual places to enjoy, and then step out to your seat for the game. Individual suites of varying sizes can be booked to host various matchday offers from company days out to private parties taking in the game. Our " Farmers Days " for example provide a fully catered for day out for our local farming community to socialise while taking in a game. This year the " farmers Wives" day will provide an extra day on the social calendar for the ladies withing the farming community.
