The Knights "A" XV were on the wrong side of a 8 tries to 2 defeat on Monday night in front of an appreciative crowd who enjoyed a match that was fast, physical and skillful. The Rotherham backs were the difference between the sides, but one bonus for the Knights was the early return from injury of scrum half Ben Jones who played for the opening 20 minutes as part of his rehab programme. He looked sharp! The two home tries were scored by Austin Hayes and Donavan Van Vuuren, one converted by Craig Deakin and the other by Carey Thomas. The match was excellently refereed by Chris Sharp. |
