Further Information on Doncaster Phoenix:

Phoenix maitianed their marauding form from the previous week and scored a creditable 37-7 win to maintain the unbeaten home record to Leeds stalwarts Roundhegians.

Phoenix started the game up the hill and set their intent with the forwards surging to the right and  the ball spun from genral Storey to attack the Hegians line. However Roundhegians lively backs reycled the ball to gain ground, use the wind and counter going close after the intial impetus.

Having weathered the retalliation Phoenix opened the scoring gathering their composure to allow the game to continue in the same vein with the pack impressive lead by the maurauding Germain and Taylor attacking close quarters to allow lock Kaihau to collect five out and  barge over for the opener.

Phoenix maintained their dominance and Jono Storey added the second when he marshalled the backs to go close with Welsh Wizard being held short off the line to pop up to the supporting fly half 10-0

The third try was again orchestrated by the back when the forwards gained postion to the left after turning over the Leeds pack in the scrum for a perfectly executed backs move to allow Millar to dance over under the posts and covnert his effort.

Storey ended the Phoenix scoring spree before allowing the persistnet Leeds outfit to score in the corner for a 22-7 HT scoreline

The second half had shades of previous weeks when Phoenix were guilty at times of resting on their laurels despite an early try from hooker Morris.

Phoenix finished the game with a Millar penalty and then after pressuring the Hegians inner sanctum, Phoenix spun the ball right and then returned left with the grateful Farmer Taylor on hand to collect blind, turn on the gas and spint through two defenders to conclude the day's events  37-7
