Knights announce Tetley’s as principle shirt sponsor.

We are delighted to announce that iconic rugby brand Tetley’s will be the Knights principle shirt sponsor for the 2017/18 campaign.
Tetley’s, who form part of international drinks brand Carlsberg, replace Twenty-Four IT after two seasons as the main shirt sponsor with their iconic red lettering and branding taking centre stage on the 2017/18 home and away kits. Additionally, Tetley’s will have a strong presence at Castle Park and across the Club’s digital and social media platforms.
The Tetley’s brand has been synonymous with rugby for many years, having a wide sponsorship portfolio not only in rugby union but also rugby league where they have previously been title sponsors of both Super League and The Challenge Cup.
Commenting on the new partnership, Knights General Manager Neil Holmes said. “To have a global company and brand such as Tetley’s on the shirt is fantastic, they previously took pride of place in the 2013/14 season and I’m glad to have them back on board.”
Carlsberg UK’s Yorkshire Sales Director [Free Trade] Simon Buxton added. “We’ve had a relationship with Doncaster Knights for around the last 18 years and we’re absolutely delighted to be continuing this for another five years.
“Tetley’s as a brand are synonymous with rugby and we’re very happy to be keeping that visible on the Doncaster kit.”
The announcement comes at the end of the Knights first block of pre-season and Knights trio Michael Hills, Dec Cusack and Joe Sproston visited The Tetley Brewery Headquarters in Leeds to launch the new partnership.

The 2017/18 kit designs will be released in the very near future and you can pre-order yours as part of our kit launch bundle at reception by calling 01302 831388 or emailing

DKTV | Listy added the Academy Coaching staff.

Ahead of the 2017/18 campaign the Doncaster Knights Academy, in association with University Centre Doncaster, have added first team prop Richard List to the coaching team.

Listy will join fellow Knight Tyson Lewis and Head Coach Ants Posa as the Academy look to build on an impressive debut season in the British University and College Sports League.

Having almost completed the first block of pre-season Owen is now very well-bedded in & the former Harlequins man says he’s itching to get stuck into next month’s pre-season fixtures.

Following what has been an extremely tough end to the first block of training, the prop forward says he has thoroughly enjoyed his start to life at Castle Park and is now raring to put on the jersey for the first time.

Fly ‘Knights Air’ to Cornish Pirates.

Following the success of last year’s ‘Knights Air’ trip to Jersey the Club is seeking an expression of interest for places on a charter flight to Newquay for the Knights clash with Cornish Pirates on March 4th 2018.

The 2017/18 fixture list sees the Knights head to Penzance for Round 17 of the Greene King IPA Championship to face Cornish Pirates and the Club are exploring the possibility of chartering an aircraft to fly the vast majority of the 738 mile round trip.

A Boeing 737 airliner would fly to Cornwall Airport Newquay returning to Doncaster Robin Hood Airport on game day, carrying the Knights playing squad with room for 100 supporters.

The charter flight would offer complimentary tea and coffee and bar – for all other than Knights players on the outbound leg!The ‘away day’ package would include flights, return ground transfers to and from The Mennaye Field as well as a match day ticket and some form on pre-match meal TBC.

The cost of the trip is estimated to be £300 and in order to make the trip viable a good proportion of the 100 supporter seats would need to taken up. The full cost for the playing squad and their support staff is borne by the Club and the spectator fare does not contribute or supplement the Club’s costs.

Before progressing further the Club are asking for an initial expression of interest from supporters. If there is sufficient interest further information regarding timings and payments will follow.

To register your interest please contact reception by August 1st either by calling 01302 831388 or emailing at your earliest convenience.
