Doncaster Knights are delighted to announce the signing of back row forward Bailey Ransom from London Scottish.

A major addition to the Knights squad, Ransom arrives at Castle Park having established himself as one of the Champ’s standout performers. Consistently among the league’s top performers, his physicality, work rate, and influence around the field have made him a key player at this level in recent seasons.

Primarily a back-row forward, Ransom also offers valuable versatility by being able to cover in the second row, adding further strength and depth to the Knights pack.

A product of Millfield School, Ransom joined Newcastle Falcons’ senior academy in the summer of 2019 and made his senior debut for the club the following year. In July 2021, he signed for Bedford Blues, spending a season there before moving to London Scottish, where he went on to become club captain.

During his time with London Scottish, Ransom built a reputation as one of the league’s most consistent and physically dominant forwards. His form was recognised in Round 21 of last season when he topped the league’s statistical rankings and was named CHAMP Player of the Week following a dominant, try-scoring display against Coventry.

Combining leadership, experience, and proven Champ pedigree, Ransom brings a huge amount of quality to Doncaster Knights. His relentless work ethic, physical presence, and ability to influence games on both sides of the ball make him an exciting signing ahead of the new season.
