Coventry

Coventry Rugby are newcomers to the Greene King IPA Championship this season having been crowned National 1 champions with a record of 27 wins from their 30 matches, scoring over 1,000 points during the course of their campaign.

The East Midlands outfit were part of the first top flight league in England during the 1987-88 season and since that relegation have spent their time between the second and third tiers of English rugby.

Director of rugby Rowland Winter signed a new long-term contract and until 2022 at the end of last season after joining from Cambridge in June 2016 and guiding the club to promotion last time out.

The club play at Butts Park Arena which has one main seated East Stand that can hold 3,000 spectators with standing room around the pitch for other spectators.
