DKTV | Jack Roberts happy to playing consistently and hopes to remain injury free
12th February 2020
Jack Roberts featured for the fourth consecutive game for the Knights on Sunday and is enjoying being injury free for the first time since arriving at Castle Park.
“I am happy to be back playing and four games in a row is not something i have managed for a couple of seasons.
I am looking to repay the faith that the club, coaches and boys have shown in me and try to contribute to the team. It is always frustrating watching the games. I am just aiming to hopefully be injury free for the rest of the year.”
The centre was frustrated at the Doncaster display in the opening 40 minutes.
“We were disappointed with the first half performance, in the second half we came out and played a lot better. The first half wasn’t good enough and it was a case of it being too little too late really.
We showed in the second half that we a bit of confidence and after we stick to what we practiced that we could actually go toe to toe with a team like Pirates.”
This weekend the Knights are aiming for a third consecutive home win.
” I’m really confident and if we play like we did in the last 20 minutes against Pirates we’ll have a chance. The key is to play well for 80 minutes. In the last few weeks we shown glimpses and we need to start better in games then we have done recently.”
